Another exciting day of action unfolded in the 4th NECDC Inter State Friendship Cup Men’s U19 2026, as Meghalaya secured a narrow win over Nagaland in a closely contested match, while Sikkim registered a dominant victory against Arunachal Pradesh.

Meghalaya Edge Past Nagaland by 3 Wickets

In a tightly fought contest, Meghalaya held their nerve to secure a 3-wicket victory over Nagaland, successfully chasing down a target of 168 in 29.4 overs.

Nagaland – Innings: 167 all out in 39.5 overs

Batting first, Nagaland posted a competitive total of 167, with Amongti Lkr (36 off 45) and Shyerinlo (36 off 49) leading the scoring.

Meghalaya’s bowling attack was spearheaded by an outstanding spell from Mewankitbok Kharpuri, who claimed 5/33 in 10 overs, breaking the backbone of Nagaland’s innings. He was well supported by Benedict J Makdoh (2/31).

Chasing 168, Meghalaya paced their innings well despite losing wickets at intervals.

Angkit Tamang anchored the chase with a composed 42 off 67 balls, guiding his team to a hard-earned win.

Nagaland bowlers, including Yashimeren Jamir (2/40) and Amongti Lkr (2/29), kept the pressure on, but Meghalaya managed to cross the line in the final stages.

Sikkim Defeat Arunachal Pradesh by 8 Wickets

Sikkim produced a clinical all-round performance to defeat Arunachal Pradesh by 8 wickets, chasing down a target of 119 in just 17.1 overs.

Arunachal Pradesh – Innings: 118 all out in 26.3 overs

After opting to bat, Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for 118, with Nabam Nathan (31 off 23) being the top scorer.

Sikkim’s bowlers dominated the innings, led by Parvin Kuikel, who picked up 4/26 in 6.3 overs, dismantling the batting lineup.

Sikkim – Innings: 124/2 in 17.1 overs

In response, Sikkim chased down the target comfortably with a strong batting display.

Andan Alam led from the front with an unbeaten 51 off 41 balls, ensuring a smooth finish to the chase.

Arunachal Pradesh bowlers Ngurang Lana and Nabam Gania picked up a wicket each, but were unable to contain the scoring.
